Brandon's Birthday - back in August!

For Brandon's birthday we went to The Mayan (as our kids haven't been there yet) and had a great time! Thanks to Aric and family for making it so fun!

I couldn't believe we had to wait about a half hour! It was a Tuesday night! So the kids climbed around outside on the snakes!

I love how happy Brandon is here! How fun to put the spotlight on him - cause he really doesn't like attention!

The kids looked over/through the rope fence to see the diver's show! They loved it!

It's been too long again! Time to catch up!

August was super fun! Aunt June came to town! Kylee loves Aunt June! It was so fun to have her spend a few nights with us!

She taught us a wonderful treat! Bugles and Easy Cheese! mmmmhmmm.....

At the end of July we welcomed a new family member to the Mills' family! We love you Brooklyn!

Family Reunion

My family all got together for the 4th of July and for about 3 days after. Here are some of the highlights:

We did family pictures since we added 3 babies since the last one! We did each of us families separate then all together! I don't have those pics loaded yet though! Just our snap shots:

That night my oldest brother brought his guitar and played some awesome stuff! We don't get to hear him play so this was so fun! He even strummed Book of Mormon Stories!

The next day we went to Gateway and had a picnic and played in the fountain a bit!

Then we went to the Planetarium and walked around. Here is Kylee on Mars!

The next day we played on water things in grandma's backyard. Uncle Darren gets Kylee with a water gun!

The hot tub was cooled down but was WAY warmer than the water from the hose! Jamon and his cousins had fun in there!

We had a lot of fun with everyone and miss those that had to go home (far away)!

4th of July Parade

We went to the Kaysville parade for the 4th of July - as usual - and had a blast - as usual! Some fun pictures:

Jamon and Kylee were done with the waterfight sooner than the adults, so they come back to the safe (no water) zone with Grandma Sheryl!

My family - brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews and all - LOVE the water fight at the end of the parade! It really brings out the kid in everyone!

This truck is brutal! It sprays everyone who dares get close! LOVE IT!

Kylee loves playing with her dolls these days! It's so cute to see her be gentle and then not-so-gentle! She loves putting the baby to bed, cover her with a blanket, feed the baby a bottle, then she walks around holding the bed! It's fun to see little moms in training!

We had a fun time at Kristy's house playing in her kiddie pool. Jamon and Caden squirted each other and just had fun in the sun!

I thought this was so dang cute! Kylee put on her cousin's cowboy boots! Ahhh, kids are way too fun! I also love how this picture really brings out her chubby cheeks! I love 'em!

Neighborhood Summer Party

Our neighborhood put on a fun night at the park with delicious dinner and fun games for the kids - I wish I would have taken more pics but oh well!

Daddy kisses Kylee - this is one of my favorite pictures! She had so much fun just running around! The world is her playground since she started walking at 16 months old!

Jamon got a balloon painted on his face! He loves getting that done! Any excuse to get paint (colored) on him!

He went fishing and got a toy car and a candy and then decorated his cupcake with pink frosting and candies! Every kids dream!

We are so glad we have great neighbors and feel so lucky to be in a great ward!

Memorial Day at Rockport

Here is our life for the past few months! I probably waited so long to post that no one will even see this! :) Anyway, I will start with Memorial Day.

Jamon throws bread to try to lure deer closer to the trailer so we can see them! Unfortunately we didn't see any up close this trip!

Kylee is entertained with a box of tissues - it rained a lot of the time, but we still had so much fun!

overview of life changes

Brandon told me once I started with facebook I wouldn't blog anymore - guess he was right! I am going to try to do more though! Quick overview of changes we have had in our family:

Brandon is on his own now for work (no partnership anymore)doing the same thing as before but BC Grafx ceased operations as of March 31. He is now Prophase Design and has a little shop area in Layton. He loves doing graphics, designing websites and such and we are excited to see how he can do on his own! He works so hard and I know he will do amazing!

I was laid off April 30 (as I think everyone knows by now) and now I work Mondays and Wednesdays at Mountain Orthopaedics. I love what I do - schedule surgeries, call in prescriptions for patients, and basically answer phone calls from patients that will have surgery. I work for Dr. John Edwards and he specializes in knees and shoulders. So I will be learning some anatomy of those body parts! They are very patient with me and it's been just great! The best part is I have SOOOO much more time with my kids now! We ALL love that part! I am planning to have play dates with Jamon's friends in the neighborhood, go to the park a lot, and I may invest in a zoo pass! My kids really love animals - even Kylee growls at them in books and at pets! I feel so blessed to finally have my prayers answered!

Well, that's it in a nutshell. With having more time off I do hope to post pics and keep this going again! I love reading all of yours - thanks for sharing! It does help to know what everyone is up to!

where does the time go?

Our lives are ever-changing and there has been no time to update the blog! We have been boring as far as events go, but I will get pics up in the next week I hope! For those who don't know, Brandon has moved his business into our garage and BC Grafx no longer exists. This is bitter/sweet, as was my cut hours, and we are adjusting. It's great to have him home more, but he has been beyond busy tying up loose ends! He will try to go it alone this time, and keep doing graphics and web design. It's hard to do it all by himself! He is an amazing worker though and tries hard to do all he can! I also started selling Scentsy and so we have just been busy trying to make things work! We are happy and the kids are great! I think we are just learning a lot of life's lessons that can only be taught by experience and of course, being humbled! I feel very blessed though, as I know things could always be so much worse than they are! I just hope for things to get back into a good groove and settle down a bit! Hmmm, I wonder if that is even possible!? Well, enough rambling. I will do a more interesting post with pics next time, I promise!! Thanks to all you family and friends that support and love us! We appreciate you so much!

Sorry it's been so long! My hours were cut at work so I don't have my lunch break to post things!! I must say that this is bitter/sweet as I LOVE being home with my kids more and taking & picking Jamon up from school! Of course we depend on my income, so we are worried how things will work out, but they always seem to work, we just have to adjust!
I am loving this spring-like weather! I took the kids to 2 parks last Saturday and we had a blast! Jamon is so big to just play and climb on things and Kylee was so cute in the swing! She just giggled!
Well, I hope to post more soon, with pictures especially!

Happy Family

I just thought it would be fun to post some happy pictures of our family from the last month. As most families, we are feeling the crunch of the times and therefore have stress. However, these are the times that keep us happy!

I am so lucky to have a very good looking husband who loves me inspite of my quirks! I love you so much, Brandon!

Jamon and Kylee are the light of our lives and I love to see them interact and be so cute together! Jamon is a very proud big brother!

Jamon loves to help wake Kylee up, so he stands on a footsool to look into her crib. Here she was going down for a nap. He is just so cute with her!

Jamon and I made sugar cookies together. It was actually really fun to let him pick out Christmas trees and candy canes even though Christmas is over! He loves to help in the kitchen!

I love to see Brandon playing with the kids! The LOVE to play in laundry baskets so he was pushing them up and down the hallway!

I am counting my blessings each day as we get through this crazy time of our lives, and I am so thankful because I know things could always be so much worse! I really feel like our lives are so blessed. I am so happy to be part of a loving family!

Happy 1st Birthday, Kylee!

For Kylee's birthday party this year, we combined Brandon's and my families so I asked each of our mom's to make a pot of spaghetti, so here's Brandon with a plate of 3 different spaghetti's! It all turned out so yummy - thanks, moms!

And Kylee loves spaghetti!

I went with a little bit of a flower theme, so Mindy - my life saver! - was willing to help me with the cake(s) again out of cupcakes! I think they turned out really cute! Thank you so much, Mindy!

Of all the fun things,she LOVED these little discs that are like mini frisbees!

I love to see how she has grown over the past year, but it makes me miss my newborn baby girl! She was born on a beautiful snowy day and it was fitting that it snowed on her first birthday!

Off To See all the Grandma's! (Christmas)

So first we went to Great Grandma & Grandpa Allen's house where Grandma made a beaded necklace for Kylee with her name on it and a stuffed animal. Jamon got a remote control dinosaur! I didn't get very many pictures here.

Then it was off to Grandma Sheryl and Grandpa Dale's house! I didn't take any pictures of us opening presents or of what we got! Jamon got an awesome McQueen race track and Kylee got a super cute outfit and giraffe toy! I did get cute shots of Kylee with her grandparents though!

With Grandma Sheryl, she was blowing her tongue to make silly noises!

Grandpa Dale was tickling her and making her laugh and laugh!

And finally we ended our day at Grandma Sandy and Grandpa Keith's house.

Jamon got a fun race track that two racers go in a figure-eight! Grandma made him a really good looking dinosaur blanket and gave him dinosaur pajamas to go with it! (I love that Grandma is in the background filming too!)

Kylee got an adorable heart blanket Grandma Sandy made and some cute pink money pajamas and a couple of dolls!

We had such a wonderful Christmas! Thanks to everyone! The best "Christmas gift" I got was the week between Christmas and New Year's off work to just be a mom! I had so much fun being home and we played and played and I didn't stress over cleaning the house or anything! It was a perfect time!

Santa always brings our favorite cereal each year! (I am a bit jealous of those of you who have a big yummy breakfast on Christmas, but it's always been a tradition for me growing up and it's great to be able to eat and go to all the visits that day with almost no prep and clean up!)

Well, what can I say, better late than never!? Here is how our Christmas was!
We got to see Jamon perform some Christmas songs at school. He didn't sing much, but better than at Halloween! He is so cute, anyway! Then he got to see Santa and Mrs. Clause after! (Side note: Do you love that camera in my way? It ended up in all my pictures! Lovely!)

Christmas morning was exciting as Santa had stopped by! He left a bunch of toys on our couch and Jamon was so excited to get play doh stuff! He asked for that and walkie talkie's that I didn't get a picture of!

Then Jamon checked out his stocking that was loaded with lots of yummy and fun things!

Santa brought Kylee her first purse! (She really didn't know what to think of it all!)

I had these hooded towels made for the kids and they turned out so cute!

Well our December started out horrible as I was in a car accident. The best part is no one was seriously hurt. Just my poor car! We are waiting for the insurance company to mail the money so I can get another car. We have one picked out in Logan that is just like my car except silver (I will miss that gorgeous blue color) but it is just a car right?! And Brandon assures me that it's a pretty silver too. So anyway, here are some awful pics of the damage!

On a more positive note, the kids have had a couple chances to see Santa this year so that was fun! Jamon is really into it and I told him to talk real loud so Santa could hear him and he did great! He wants walkie-talkie's! He's worried that Santa won't know what Kylee wants so we need to write Santa a letter - quickly! He is way too smart for his own good! Kylee wasn't sure what to think of Santa but didn't want to sit there very long! Maybe next year?!

Anyway, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope you are all happy and well!

Rambling...

So I don't have much to say but I go so long between posts I thought I would share some cute things Jamon has said lately! He has been seeing the Christmas lights on a few houses and can't help but be drawn to them! But I told him that we don't turn Christmas lights on until after Thanksgiving! My exact words were "They (people who turn the lights on too early) are sill billy's". Well we are at Target a few days later and he says "huh, they are silly billy's cause look, they have Christmas trees already!" I just love this age! Then I was trying to be silly last night (cause I am just way to serious and I am trying to change!) and when Jamon asked what time it is I told him and then said "What time are YOU?" I figured he would give me some random number - or his favorite # 4690 - but he responded "I'm not a clock, Mom!" Can't pull one over on him! It became a joke though and so if he asks anyone what time are you, don't think he's crazy!! Kids are such a joy!
I sure wish we could get Kylee to move around! She HATES being on her tummy but then she won't learn to crawl. I have been having her stand next to the couch to try to learn to walk along it, holding on. That is still a work in progress! Really, I am fine with her not getting into everything, but I don't want her to be lacking in development either! She is such a delight! I love her jabbering, she definitely got her talking from her mother! ha! I love the special moments when Jamon will "play" with her and give her kisses! So much fun!
We have been trying to do family night every week and we have had lots of fun! Some weeks are better than others but hey, something is better than nothing! Our first one we had a little lesson and then played candy land and had licorice! Jamon loves it! It's a good thing to make sure we sit down as a family and learn something and have fun together!

Halloween!

We've had a fun Halloween this year. We went to see the Witches at Gardener Village. Went to a Halloween carnival at grandmas church, carved pumpkins. Jamon sang in his preschool Halloween program. He was on the back row, so we couldn't get a great picture of him. We had a great time trick or treating with our "Stitch and Tinkerbell."

Lagoon Day!

We had a fun day at Lagoon in August and got some fun shots of Jamon on rides! He was very daring and loved all the kid rides. He is too short still for a lot of the regular rides but he did go on Tidal Wave and loved it! He laughed going up and down on the lady bug lift and dinosaur drop! It was great as we had Grandma Sandy watch the kids for the first few hour so we could go on the big rides and then spent the rest of the day with the kids! Jamon loved the airplane rides and drove cars, boats, and of course loved getting cotton candy on our way out!

Jamon turned 4 on September 22nd, He chose a dinosaur theme, (if you could'nt tell) we searched for dinosaur eggs, ate at Stadium Pizza ...Amazing... Destroyed a pinata, opened presents! (Jamons favorite part!), and had an awesome dino cake that took Kim, and Mindy Saline over 3 hours to make! Thanks Mindy!!!
